First day and the debt
Relax has no debt timer. Challenging keeps the ten installments.
Start a new campaign on 1.0 or later. Old saves still load after a warning, but the debt, jobs, and economy were rebuilt, and the studio recommends a fresh run for the intended 1.0 path.

Pick Relax or Challenging first
1.0.1 added a pacing option. You choose it at the start, and you can switch later.
| Mode | What changes | Who it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Relax | No time limit on debt payments | Solo, or anyone who does not want a missed installment to spiral |
| Challenging | The original deadlines stay | Co-op, or a solo run that wants the pressure |
On Challenging, the debt is 10 installments. Each one has a deadline of 48 to 120 in-game hours. You pay an installment in BTC with one click. On-time payments are tied to rewards that include the Forgery Table, five buried cash bags, and a Tier 3 bitcoin machine. Miss one and the next installment can pick up 10% interest, then 20%, and reputation swings from shady work can jump to 2× then 3×. The next on-time payment clears those ongoing penalties.
The back room has a Friendly Loans TV. That is the studio's own pointer for the debt screen. Launch-day players could not find a pay button; 1.0.1 says the payment steps were fixed. If the click is still missing, update to 1.02 before treating it as a stuck save.
The first day
Survive the first day and you have already cleared an achievement. The opening loop is short on purpose:
- Serve one pizza. That is "I'm Just Here For The Pizza".
- Finish the first shady trade. That is "Get Your Hands Dirty".
- Keep the shop open long enough to learn why you are there. The achievement is "Things Got Serious".
- Do not load an old Early Access save if you want the new endings. 1.0 added a real way to settle with Tony, a good ending, a bad ending, and the option to keep playing the same save after the good ending.
Pizza XP and shady XP are separate curves as of 1.0. A quiet kitchen does not level the back room, and the other way around.
Heat, without the jargon
Reputation runs from −200 to +200, split into seven zones. Finished shady jobs shift it by 10 points (it was 12 before 1.0). Backyard camouflage — barbed wire, planters, washing racks, a guard dog, a washing counter — cuts that swing by 10–30%. You can pet the dog.
In the yellow and orange zones, cops or the mob show up for sabotage at most once per in-game day on 1.02. Crossing the zone line does not reset that timer. Police can seal the shop. The mafia can break belongings. Hitting an officer drops shady reputation and gets you chased.
Co-op and saves
Online co-op is up to four players. Solo, including with Steam closed, is supported on 1.0. Autosave is optional, every 5 to 60 minutes, and it is off by default — turn it on if you do not want to lose a debt window to a crash.
Campaign saves are slotted and screenshot-tagged. Anything from before 1.0 is labeled old version on the slot itself.
