Pizza shop and staff

Quick answer

Recipes unlock by level. Cashiers can finish the whole order.

The front of the shop is a normal pizzeria until the order card turns into a favor. Recipes unlock by leveling, not by buying them. 1.0 raised the menu to 12 recipes and added four ingredients: chicken, corn, gorgonzola, and parmigiano.

The line, in order

Customers can ask for a pizza, a drink, and one of six sauces on that pizza. The drink machine and the sauce rack are both 1.0 additions. A prep counter holds eight ingredient containers and two topping boards. XL containers and a purchasable pizza-box dispenser are on the same upgrade list.

White Pizza is a real recipe. On 1.0.1, adding a missing topping to dough that was already on the plate could rename the pizza on screen and still bake it as a custom — so it burned on the green indicator. That timer now follows the recipe. Pull on the green mark.

Overcooking 10 pizzas is its own achievement ("A Little Too Well Done"). It is not a strategy.

Staff and the machines that cook for you

Hired cashiers, up to the two the automation update added, take the order through sauces and drinks, walk the shop, and go off shift. You can pause them and read tips on the order screen. Hiring the first one is an achievement.

The automated pizza oven is a separate purchase. Serving one pizza from it unlocks "Let It Cook!". Vending machines sit out on the map; unlocking them is "Expanding Your Territory", and the first collection is "Some Passive Aggressive Income". Restocking a machine only charges you for what is actually missing, not a full refill. Upgrade cards show the income after the upgrade.

A bulk-order van arrives at 13:00 and asks for a selection of your active shady jobs. That is the back door's clock, not the front counter's.

Visitors who are not regulars

These are named in the 1.0 notes, not guessed from the trailer:

WhoWhat they want
CaseOhNight visitor. The 1.0 notes call him Case. A three-part quest line. Serving him 19 pizzas is the "Like a Ferris Wheel" achievement.
Elon TuskNight visitor. Specific pizza requirements.
Roach King ZackNight visitor. Brings his own ingredients.
Sewer handTen quests. Deliver pizzas to a hand in the sewers. Three pizzas to the people down there is "Special Delivery, Extra Mutagen".
Red EyeA quest line that unlocks extra ingredients. One player report says a red visitor asked for three burnt pizzas and did not take them — treat a refused hand-in as a photo-style name check, not as a published recipe.

Completing the night-visitor lines unlocks more encounters in town. Open-world jobs show a 3D exclamation mark over the giver, a two-line HUD description, a level requirement, and a time window. You can hold four of those jobs at once. Legal dialogue options are green. Illegal ones are red.

Money that is not BTC

Tips scale with shop level, up to $1,495 at level 18. "Show Me The Money" is $100,000 from the business, not from shady quests. Shady crypto is a different achievement: 1,000 BTC from shady quests.

Decorations count. The first shop decoration is an achievement, and 1.0 added an air dancer plus a wall-mountable family portrait. Skateboards (10 of them) and hats (9) are sold in town, including Manny Rollins' skate store. The first skateboard purchase and the first crash are both achievements. A skateboard is the practical way across Hobarey Town once photo jobs send you into the woods.
